About these travel times
Distances are a smooth approximation of symmetric travel times. Missing connections stay unknown.
Driving, cycling and walking use OSRM. Search uses Photon.
Rail and the weekday traffic model currently cover the San Francisco region. Current road closures come from Caltrans.
Selected modes compete as complete journeys. Rail and flights can include ground transfers at stations and airports. No transfers are invented between arbitrary map points.
Access estimates use your fastest selected ground mode: car/taxi at 50 km/h, cycling at 15 km/h, or walking at 4.8 km/h. Walking is included if no ground mode is selected. These transfers do not follow streets or change with traffic, and assume a vehicle is available at either end.
Flights add 150 minutes at airports and an 800 km/h flying estimate. Airport locations: OurAirports, September 2026 snapshot. Routes and schedules are not verified.
